BAJ representative: ‘Will any TV channel replace bridge between Belarus and Poland?’

Mikhas Yanchuk, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Association of Journalists, has commented on the critical situation Belsat TV is facing now.
On Sunday evening, Witold Wazczykowski, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, voiced the ministry’s plans of the channel’s transition to a web mode and its journalists’ transfer to TVP Polonia.

“Do the decision-makers have any other channel in the Belarusian media space which could replace Belsat TV? Or will a cut versuion of Belsat TV in Russian be a substitute for the bridge between the Belarusian and Polish peoples that has been built over the past 9 years by many Poles and Belarusians?” MikhasYanchuk wonders.
