The independence of the Belarusian People's Republic was proclaimed 97 years ago.The historic event took place on March 25, 1918. The Council of the Belarusian People's Republic adopted the Third Charter that proclaimed the independence of the country. It was the first opportunity for Belarusians to create their own state.
