Foreigners will be allowed to visit Belovezhskaya Pushcha without visa
Belovezhskaya Pushcha expects to benefit from visa-free regime for tourists.
The Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park expects to increase revenues by Br27 billion due to the bigger inflow of foreign tourists after the establishment of the visa-free regime for them, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.
In accordance with President's decree No. 115 “Concerning the granting of the visa free entry and departure for foreign citizens” such a visa regime will be established at the Belarusian border checkpoint Pererov (Belovezha). Foreigners will be allowed to enter Belarus visa free for a period of 72 hours (3 days) using the documents that confirm the order of or payment for tourism services in the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park.
According to the press service, the decree aims to develop trans-border tourism and promote rational use of the natural, recreational and tourism potential of the unique natural complex. Out of 150,000 tourists annually visiting the Polish part of the reserve, a lot of people are willing to visit the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park in Belarus.
The press release of the press service reads that this decision will not only help use the tourism infrastructure in a more efficient way, but will also enhance Belarus' tourist attractiveness and international image.
